Fishing Report   Submitted 2-4-12

Lake Fork :
At the time of this report we are just about to receive a little more much needed rain here in the East Texas area. Lake Fork is still about 6 feet low and we have already found some 56 degree water in the back of some of the coves. There were a couple of 10 lb Bass caught this week in 6-10 feet of water and with the warmer weather, some of the Bass are showing signs of moving out of the deeper water and up the creeks to the back of the coves. With low water conditions and warmer weather conditions for this time of year, there should be some really BIG Bass caught in February and the Bass should be spawning by March. Even though there is hardly any grass right now, Lake Fork is in good condition and is going to produce a lot of Bass in 2012. The weather is changing from day to day and if you are looking for a shot at a Big Bass, right now is a great time to fish Lake Fork ! I have full time guides available for the Spring Bass fishing but the only dates that I have left open for me are Feb 25th, 28th, 29th, March 1st, 13th, 21st, April 30th and about 10 open dates in June. After that I will be offering night and split day fishing trips to avoid the heat. We furnish all equipment and baits at no additional cost to you. If you are interested in fishing with us contact us at 214.236.3320 or email us at jjguides@hotmail.com or jjguides@lakeforkproguides.com.

Mexico :
Right now the Bass fishing action at El Salto is HOT! I went back again last Saturday and fished with Mike Kizer from Allen Texas and we boated 411 Bass in 3 days of fishing. We caught 189 Bass in one day. Just about every boat was catching over 100 Bass per boat per day. The lake level is at 35 % and the water temp is in the mid 70's. Night time temps are 50 degrees and 80 degrees during the day. It's perfect ! There are tons of Bass being caught from 3- 6 lbs on just about any bait you want to use. We are starting to see some really good fish in the 7-8 lb range caught on top water baits while jigs, lizards and crank baits are all catching Bass up to 9 &10 lbs. I am leaving again on Monday for two weeks taking 54 fishermen and we are hoping that the full moon phase will bring up the really Big Bass. If you would like to fish El Salto lake while the Bass fishing is Hot, call me at 214.236.3320 for complete info. PLEASE take a look at some of the testimonials I received over the past few days and Thanks to everyone that is going with me on this next trip or has gone with me already this season ! This has been some awesome Bass fishing !
