About Lake Fork

Trophy bass, crappie and catfishing trips 

Lake Fork is located approximately five miles west of Quitman, Texas and within a 1 1/2 hour drive of Dallas, Tyler and Longview, Texas. When Lake Fork is at full level it covers 27,690 acres of thick vegetation and timber. The lake was opened for fishing in the fall of 1980 and since then has gained a reputation as the number one trophy bass lake in Texas. An intensive fish-management program along with "catch & release" are some of the reasons Lake Fork claims 37 of the top 50 big bass in the state of Texas. This includes the top 6 ranging from 17.08 lbs. to the current state record of 18.18 lbs. 

Spawn is a busy time on Lake Fork. Remember to book your Lake Fork trip early for best available dates.

About Lake Athens

Black Bass, White Bass Fishing Trips

Lake Athens is known for largemouth bass with a lake record is 14.19 pounds, also offers Crappie and White bass. The lake is one of the best little bass fishing lakes in Texas and not only is the bass fishing good, but crappie, white bass, and catfish are all good year round.The lake is located about 5 miles east of Athens, south of FM 317 in Henderson County. Lake Athens is approximately 1800 acres and was Impounded in 1962,

About Lake Monticello

Monticello is a power plant lake with Lake Welch close by.
Location: In Titus County, approximately 10 miles southwest of Mount Pleasant, Texas. Monticello is about 2000 acres and was impounded in 1972. Lake Monticello is a great largemouth bass fishing lake. The slot length limit was changed from 14-21 inches to 14-24 inches in an effort to protect larger fish and possibly increase trophy fishing opportunities. Channel catfish are also good on Lake Monticello.

About Lake Holbrook

Located on Lankford Creek, a tributary of the Sabine River, in Wood County 3 miles northwest of Mineola, Lake Holbrook was impounded in 1962. The lake is appoximately 653 acres and has a depth of 30 ft.
Stocked with of Florida largemouth bass in 2007 and 2008, the lake also has bluegill, redear sunfish, black and white crappie and channel catfish.

About Lake Tawakoni

Striper, Hybrid and Sand Bass Fishing Trips 

Lake Tawakoni was impounded in 1960 and has an area of 36,700 acres. Located about 7 miles east of Quinlan, Texas. The lake offers some great striper and hybrid fishing, as well as sand bass fishing. J&J Guide Service has the expertise to put you on these fish. Sand bass are a lot of fun to catch and can produce some non-stop action that is great for getting a child (or just about anyone) excited and interested in fishing. The hybrid and stripers are usually where you find the sand bass as well. The average hybrid on Tawakoni runs about 7 to 8 pounds. Lake Tawakoni's record for striper bass is 22.25 lbs.

Cooper Lake was impounded in 1991 and has an area of 22,740 acres. Located 15 miles north of Sulphur Springs, just south of State Highway 24. Cooper Lake is quickly gaining a reputation for it's largemouth bass fishing with a lake record already set at 15.17lbs. J&J Guide Service has over 30 years experience fishing for largemouth bass and are familiar with Lake Cooper conditions. Lake Cooper's hybrids and sand bass are another attraction to help get your fishing fever up. Just like Tawakoni, the sand bass and hybrids produce a lot of action.
